"I have a degree in Elementary Education and have taught Spanish in a Montessori school. I have gone through the ESL training from Cape Fear Literacy Council but have not used the acquired skills as yet except for a one-time subbing for a class. I have been an active environmental educator through Cape Fear Audubon's "Discover the Wonder of Birds" program in several New Hanover County elementary schools and at public events.
I have a strong grasp of the English language with excellent grammar and spelling and reading skills.
I was an early learner of French in the Washington, D.C. public school system. I studied French through 10th grade and then took Spanish in my junior and senior years. I have taken Spanish grammar and conversational classes since then and take every opportunity to speak the language when possible. My accent is excellent.
I would make learning enjoyable and confidence-building. Your goals will be my goals." less...
