"I’m Jane. I graduated with a BS in French and a minor in music followed by a MEd in Foreign Language Education. I loved my French professors who brought the language to life and enriched classes by exposing us to an array of French-speaking cultures. These professors were a key factor in my decision to teach French.

I taught one year of middle school French and four years of high school French. Then while raising my children I exposed them to the French language while introducing several other elementary aged children to basic fun French for a few months. In 2017, I returned to teaching high school French privately to a few ambitious homeschooled students, starting with French 1 and continuing through French 3.

I love to make French relevant to students’ lives and to make connections for them with French-speaking cultures.

I enjoy maintaining my French communication skills, listening to French news, French music, old and new, and viewing a few French talk shows.
