"Even though I teach Science at the college level, I always enjoy one on one interactions with high school or college level students, where I can help that person achieve the goals and successes they desire. Most people just lack the confidence, and I so enjoy watching them gain confidence and achieve what they want to.

I have a broad education with a degree in Chemistry, minor in Math, and a PhD in Biology, so I think this can help me integrate subjects for the student to both engage their interest and find a starting point of strength for them. Students generally comment they find my explanations very clear, with many real life examples, that really helps them to understand the important concepts. I actually work hard at this, to make sure to explain the subject several different ways so that the student can grasp the material well.
