I have spent the past 20 years designing and building computerized decision support systems. These systems are a combination of production rule systems, logic trees, and logical graphs (cyclic and acyclic). I have taught decision making at the graduate level to informatics students.

I have spent much of the last 20 years teaching and practicing data and information modeling in clinical care and other health-related settings. I have used a variety of formalisms including relational models (SQL), no-SQL, hierarchical, ontologies, production rules, and various knowledge representation standards, such as Arden Syntax, Guideline Modeling Language, and GELLO.
