I have Bachelor of Arts degrees in English, English and British Lit, and Media Studies from Florida Atlantic University. I am currently earning an MSEd in Curriculum and Instruction, with concentrations in gifted and talented studies, instructional design, and educational technology. Degrees mean nothing unless you love what you do, and I absolutely LOVE WHAT I DO!

In my 11 years as a 6-8 gifted and talented ELA teacher, I prioritize creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I understand that each scholar is unique, and I tailor my approach to meeting the intellectual, social, and emotional needs of all of my kids. Whether it's breaking down challenging topics, providing additional practice, offering creative learning resources, or being a listening ear, I am committed to helping scholars build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Teaching through COVID taught me a great deal about myself and what I needed to do in order to make sure that every scholar of mine was successful inside and outside of the classroom.

Outside of academics, I am an amateur mixed media artist, an avid reader, and a fitness nerd. These aspects of my life not only add a personal touch to my tutoring style but also allow me to connect with scholars on a more relatable level.
