"Yes, grades are important. But learning how to learn is just as important. As the student progresses in his/her academic life, their knowledge will build right along side their capacity to integrate and apply that knowledge. As a tutor, I hope to aid the student in acquiring the tools and skill sets that will aid them in achieving their goals.

My junior and senior year in college I acted as a Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Aide in the Biology Department. I also made myself available to students for one-on-one sessions as needed. I am also proficient in English both essay writing and research papers. A commanding proficiency in English composition and technical writing are valuable skills in any profession. My law degree broadens the scope and adds an additional layer of depth to my writing abilities.

One of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences in tutoring comes when the student has that "light bulb" moment; that instant that they say "I get it." My goal is to foster the learning environment and provide tailored guidance to the student based on his/her needs.
