"I love playing the piano. Please check out my YouTube channel "Key Harmony Music" for my piano performances! My goal is to share the same enjoyment with my students while they grow in music.
I began piano training in Asia at the age of 8. In 1989, I was conferred the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (L.R.S.M.) in piano performance, one of the highest diplomas the ABRSM offered. I taught private piano lessons for 17 years of which I taught at a school in Pennsylvania for 2 years. I currently have my own studio. In 2019, a student I trained since the beginning of his learning completed and passed the Associate Board Royal School of Music Grade 8 exam.
Besides teaching, I have accompanied instrumentalists for concerts and performed at church services, recitals and public events.
When I don't teach music, I exercise or play board games with friends. There's a slight advantage for me if the game involves humming a song. :D
The following is my music background: I had 8 years of training as a classical pianist, received superior-plus rating in National Piano Playing Auditions (collegiate classification), and was certified Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (L.R.S.M.) in piano (graduate level). I have 17-year teaching experience in school and private studio in the U.S. I have also worked as a professional pianist and music competition judge. Performance videos on YouTube channels are available as mentioned.
All ages and levels are welcome. Students may request comprehensive piano training on finger techniques, fingering, pedaling, expression, music theory, sight reading and ear training, or select specific training topics / music styles of their choice.
Tutoring sessions may also prepare students for special assignments such as accompaniment, performance, audition, play and sing, and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music Exams." less...
