"I have been a substitute teacher in the Florida (Osceola County) and Kansas (Shawnee County) school systems. Since retirement from my full-time job as a computer programmer in 2010, I have been tutoring K-12, college and adult students.

During full-time employment, I taught adult co-workers how to use their computers and software that they needed to use in the performance of their job duties. I played an active part in helping my own children succeed in school. One holds a Master's degree in Elementary Education and the other finished coursework toward a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. Both are also owners of their own businesses.

Coursework taken for my Bachelor's degree included satisfactory completion of Algebra, Calculus, Finite Math, and Discrete Math courses. I have always been an excellent reader, and thrived on getting above average grades in school in grammar and reading.
