"Hi, my name is Perry, and I am a senior at Rice University, studying Cell Biology and Genetics with minors in Business and Medical Humanities. I am currently applying to medical schools, having scored 95th percentile on my MCAT and received interviews from top 20 schools.

When I took the SAT in 2020, I scored 1570. I utilized a private tutor who pushed me to exceed my potential. I have been tutoring for the SAT for 2.5 years, incorporating many of the techniques that my tutor taught me, and have helped students achieve scores that have exceeded my own! Having taken over 40 SAT exams, I am an expert on how questions are framed, the underlying math and grammar rules, and how to catch the test's deceiving tricks. My understanding of SAT allows me to walk my students through not only "what" to do, but also "why" we do something, which is ultimately what will help the students score the best come exam time.

I know preparing for the SAT can be daunting. I was in your shoes not long ago, and know that you need someone to keep you motivated and boost your confidence. I generally work with students in the 1-4 months leading up to their expected test dates for about 1-2 hours per week. My schedule is pretty flexible, allowing me to communicate with students every week to decide what days and times of the week work best for them, though I am most available on weekends.
