"I have online tutoring experience where I was an independent contractor with another website. I helped a student with an Organizational Management course and I found our interaction rewarding, and I was able to explain to her how to correctly write a research paper based on a case study scenario. She passed the course and ended up getting her degree.
I have a Master's of Arts degree in Education, and I am a self-published poet. I have two books online at Amazon.com, and my idea of being a great tutor is being able to first find out what the student knows about their coursework, then moving in to what they do not understand. My goal for being an independent tutor is to help students learn how to remember how to do their coursework themselves when they are in the classroom and when they are not being helped by a tutor. I want each student I tutor to be able to learn naturally, and to develop a passion for subjects, and ultimately turn that love for school into a career path.
The subject areas I am best in are: History, Writing, English, Reading, and Literature. I am also good at public speaking, I have published online videos of me reciting my poetry, and I have also spoke at my community college’s Coffeehouse. The grade levels I am interested in tutoring are elementary and middle school students, because for me as a student I find this was the time I fell behind in my own education career. I felt the pressure from peers and my grades were getting behind.
So, my second goal in tutoring is to prevent this from happening to students of today’s generation. My final goal with tutoring online is I want to help them think without relying on the internet, and allow them to be able to understand what I am explaining, and I want to be as clear and specific as possible when teaching a lesson.
Please contact me to schedule a lesson, and I will do my best to respond promptly within 24 hours." less...
