I've spent the past three years building my own business as an independent tutor teaching SAT, special education, and test prep. I have extensive experience working with students (high school and college) who have challenges managing their workload.
My approach to teaching is different from others in that my main goal is to build self-esteem and confidence in my students. According to a study done in 2020, students with low levels of confidence are less likely to engage meaningfully in classes or develop real interest in their school work. Students with higher levels of confidence outperformed their peers by a significant marker. As a tutor, I believe it is my duty to inspire a love of learning in all of my students.
