I earned my B.A. in History from the University of California - Berkeley (awarded 'With Distinction' based on GPA and senior thesis focused on European History) and my M.A. in International Relations from King's College London (awarded 'With Merit' based on high GPA and a Masters Thesis on American and European security responses to terrorism.) My career has taken me from war-affected countries in Eastern Europe and North Africa to political decision-making centers and world capitals, using and re-using my background in history and politics for international organizations like the UN, European Union, and U.S government. For three years I served as 'Practitioner in Residence' for James Madison University, mentoring and assisting MA students carrying out research and producing thesis papers while lecturing on political science, history, and career opportunities. As a security specialist in an international training institution I also designed and delivered course modules on political advice and leadership to a global audience.
