"I have been teaching for 20 years. In that time, I have worked mainly with middle school students creating individual education plans as well as teaching content. I have worked in inclusive classrooms in all core subject areas and taught world history, American history and language arts. I have also taught learning strategies in reading and writing.

Tutoring gives me an opportunity to build the knowledge of students more quickly as the teaching can be specific to each student's needs. Likewise, students gain confidence in themselves which allows them to excel beyond what they may have thought possible. Therefore, tutoring is an opportunity to make a powerful impact in the lives of young people.

English has always been a strong subject matter for me. I have knowledge of and experience teaching grammar, literature, proofreading, reading, and writing. I have worked with students to create multi-paragraph essays as well as with basic sentence and paragraph structure.
