"I have been a teacher and coach for my entire professional career. I have a good relationship with my students and I believe that I can be especially helpful in this format. I think the opportunity to discuss topics and apply those ideas to history is a critically important skill, and I hope that I will be able to assist students understand concepts and think critically about the important events of the past.

I have taught AP US History for 15 years, and my students do very well on the AP exam in May. I have been a reader, Table Leader and Question Leader for the reading of the AP US History exam. I have also worked as a Mentor the past 5 years, which is a program designed to help new AP US History teachers improve their teaching. I believe I can assist you in preparing for the AP exam as well as assisting you in other aspects of American History including essay development.

I have a degree in History from UW-Oshkosh. I have also taught AP European History for seven years and although I have not read essay s for that exam, my experiences and knowledge gained from the AP US test directly applies to the success my students have in AP Euro. My AP Euro students traditionally score very high on the AP exam in May.
