As a Summa Cum Laude graduate and recipient of The Stylus: The College at Brockport's award-winning student newspaper's 'Exceptional Contribution' award, I'm familiar with the idea that putting forth hard work and dedicating oneself most definitely pays off. It's my hope to reach students through tutoring, teaching them the skills to improve their innate abilities and strengthen their potential.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, with a minor in English. In the past, I've tutored a fourth grade level student in English, Grammar, Spelling and Reading. I've also tutored a seventh grade level student in Math.
I've won several art contests in the past. My pieces have been displayed in local businesses. What actually 'qualifies' an artist as being a 'true' artist? The answer is, well, limitless. There are no boundaries in self-expression. Although I may give you a specific subject, artist, or movement to depict, art is subjective and open to many interpretations.
I'm passionate about students grasping that which we've covered in a lesson. If a student or parent isn't satisfied with my tutoring, I won't charge for that lesson. I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, yet am flexible with make-up sessions. I find the local library to be most conducive to learning, however, I am happy to travel to a different location if that's more comfortable for the student." less...
