"Are you a student who finds yourself spending hours studying but still not really understanding things? Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of reading or work you have to do? Do you think you could do better— if only you knew how to learn better?
It doesn't have to be that way. You can keep up with others, succeed in school, and even enjoy learning—if you know the right strategies and adopt better systems.
This is where my tutoring and coaching comes in. I'm Pat. With over a decade of experience at Dartmouth, Harvard, and Indiana University studying the science of learning and applying it in my work, I'm confident I can show you how to work smarter—not harder—and reach your potential. I have a B.A. in economics and political science from Dartmouth College, an M.Ed. in educational neuroscience from Harvard Grad School of Education, and I am pursuing my Ed.D. in Learning Design. I love to learn, but more importantly, I love to help others learn. I've tutored, coached, and built courses in all sorts of subjects, including economics, finance, business, management and leadership, psychology, social science, and beyond. Over the past decade, I've worked with high schoolers studying science, college students studying economics, grad students studying psychology, and adult learners studying all sorts of things! However, I especially like to tutor learners in their teens and twenties studying social sciences and interested in improving their all-around study skills.
My clients often tell me that, after working with me, they have a sense of confidence in their abilities that they never knew they had. They've not only aced that test or passed a class but developed the skills to learn faster and perform better in whatever they do next. With this new toolkit, many even come to love learning." less...
