"Hey! My name is David and I'm a 5th year medical and business student (MD/MBA) at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School. Prior to Penn, I was certified as a NYC Math teacher and taught 6th grade math at NYC's elite middle school, IS 187 (Christa McAuliffe).

As a tutor and teacher with over 10+ years of experience, I have helped a variety of students ranging from grade 3 to undergraduates in college. While I was a senior in high school, I started tutoring children privately and in small groups, helping them unlock their potential or achieving their success on standardized tests. I have extensive experience in tutoring for the SHSAT, PSAT and SAT, both in their new version and their previous version. In NYU, I was a teaching assistant in the ULC (University Learning Center), where I tutored undergraduate students in a wide range of subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Chinese and Writing. I also tutored ad hoc for Kaplan Test Prep, TA numerous undergraduate and graduate classes at Penn and have mentored dozens of students.

As a tutor, I am flexible, versatile and extremely perceptive of my students' needs. As every student is different and their goals are varying, I differentiate my teaching strategies to best align with my student. For students who are looking to improve in school or perhaps to get ahead, I focus particularly on deep conceptual ideas and an inquiry-based system of learning. I believe that the best form of education is not only informative and also fun and will incorporate student interests to inspire and stimulate curiosity. For students who are looking primarily for test prep, I will utilize specific test strategies to best improve their score.
