"My philosophy as an engineer, researcher, and teacher is to foster students' understanding of fundamental science and mathematics concepts so they can effectively apply them and solve more advanced problems independently in the classroom and real-world settings. I also present information with transparency and patience to accommodate different paces, backgrounds, and mindsets.
I am a highly analytical and dedicated professional with diverse hands-on experience in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, research, and project management. Having received extensive graduate-level education in my field, I have a strong capability in analyzing highly technical literature and presenting research findings in a timely and high-quality manner. I possess a B.S. in Bioengineering (and minor in Chemistry) from Temple University as well as two M.S. degrees from Temple University (Accelerated 4+1 Program) and Cornell University, in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, respectively.
Additionally, I have 7 semesters (900+ hours of in-class/laboratory work and other related activities) of teaching assistant experience (2 as an undergraduate, 5 as a graduate student) spanning a wide range of scientific as well as mathematically intensive subjects at the university undergraduate level (Research Design & Methods, Bioelectrical Engineering, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Physiology of Human Health and Disease, and Ethical Issues in Biomedical Science, Engineering, and Technology).
As an undergraduate bioengineering student, my 42 transfer credits from AP courses allowed me to be designated a senior by credit after my third semester. I received A's in Organic Chemistry I, Biochemistry I, and Physics I in addition to all of my (Honors level) Calculus and General Chemistry courses. I also received a B+ in Honors Organic Chemistry II, Physics II, and Differential Equations while meeting the requirements of my engineering courseload. As a graduate student at Temple, I also received A's in Engineering Math I and Biostatistics." less...
