"Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a recent graduate from Cornell University. I hold a double major in Government and English and, next year, plan to pursue a fellowship through the Fulbright Program. In this role, I will develop English language courses for university students abroad. My acceptances to Cornell and Fulbright are a result of a strong GPA, impressive test scores, and interesting extracurricular activities. As a result, I am available to tutor in a wide variety of subjects and I have experience working with both high school and college level students. My specialties are college application preparation and essay writing. I have been tutoring through Wyzant since last summer and my students have been accepted into several colleges, including (but not limited to) Cornell, Northeastern, Boston University, and Purdue.

At Cornell, I took a rigorous course load, including courses through the Cornell Law School. My decision to double major provided me with a strong background in the humanities (through the English major) while emphasizing the practical skills acquired through the Government major. Outside of the classroom, I was the President of the Cornell Political Union and the VP of Programming for a pre-professional government fraternity, Pi Lambda Sigma. I have also held a variety of internships, including for Bank of America, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Senate.

The activities in which I chose to involve myself provided me with well-rounded experiences, which have been essential for being a successful writer. For me, writing is a combination of emotion and creativity paired with discipline and knowledge. I am well-read and understand the components of a strong essay.
