I've worked for two school districts as a coach and substitute / regularly scheduled teacher and with a program called Upward Bound. Through my time at Upward Bound I tutored a diverse range of students in an equally diverse range of subject matter from English Language Arts, to Mathematics, to biological sciences.
When it comes to my tutoring methods my philosophy is simple. People learn differently...some are auditory learners while others are tactile or visual. Part of my job is to figure out how best your student learns and then personalize my instructions/help to them. Additionally, I'm a teacher/tutor who is not going to simply give someone the answer. I firmly believe that "if you give a man a fish he eats for a day but if you teach a man to fish he eats for life".
