"Hello! My name is Lindsay, and I am a 39 years old. I lived and worked as a public school ESL teacher's assistant and private tutor in Shikoku, Japan for 6 years from 2004 to 2010. I also spent time living in Shiga Prefecture from 2002-2003 while studying for my undergraduate degree in East Asian Languages and Culture at Michigan State University.

I am interested in tutoring Japanese as well as English to Japanese speakers. I am also an artist and would love to incorporate creativity into my lessons.

While living in Japan, I assisted Japanese teachers of English in public schools all over Kagawa Prefecture. I taught mostly middle school and elementary school aged children. I was responsible for some lesson planning for elementary level students.

I also taught English conversation privately from my home. My students ranged from 5 years old to over 65. I was responsible for all lesson plans and teaching materials.

I have a bachelor's degree in East Asian Languages and Culture from Michigan State University (2004). I also have passed the Level 2 JLPT or Japanese Language and Proficiency Test with a score of 332/400 (2005).
