"Good day to whomever is reading this! I'm Jeremy, an X-ray crystallographer, Biochemist and Green chemist. As I am am just starting out on this site my rates are currently at the lowest end but will adjust to match my qualifications as time progresses. During my undergraduate time I worked in a research lab while mentoring high school students and whilst in graduate school I spent every fall, spring and summer semester as a lab TA for two sections (16 students each) for general chemistry or organic chemistry labs. As the lab TA I worked entirely independently, giving the lab lecture, mentoring students, grading reports and giving advice. I also graded exams and quizzes for the seminar lecture and mentored several undergraduates in my research lab. I strove to help all my students and advocate for any accommodations they may have needed, whilst still encouraging them to learn and problem solve independently. I can honestly say, and many of my students would attest, that I was a strong reason why they were able and decided to continue in chemistry. I am extremely patient and know that people learn at different rates. As long as communication and effort is clear I will always do all I can to help my students. I genuinely enjoy teaching those who want to learn and hope to continue to make a difference. While my focus is GenChem and Orgo, I am also confident in working with standard biology topics, advanced chemistry courses (biochemistry in particular), genetics and microbiology, how to prepare for your semester, how to study, how to prepare for exams and general advice for undergrad and graduate school.
