"I graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Indiana University Southeast with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have been a teacher at an elementary school in Campbellsburg, Indiana for the past 32 years. I have taught 5th grade High Ability, 3rd grade, and 2nd grade. I have extensive experience preparing students for ISTEP testing and have had 96%+ of my students pass their tests, including ISTEP, Acuity, I-Ready, and Star Reader tests. The majority of my students over the years have also met or exceeded their reading goals in Accelerated Reader. I truly enjoy preparing students for these important tests and understand what is expected for them to be successful.

Math is an important part of ISTEP testing as well as our elementary curriculum. Each grade has standards that are to be met and I am very capable of making sure those standards are met for students through a variety of methods that work best for all individual students. I have tremendous patience and understanding for all students and their unique individual needs.

English is also an important part of ISTEP testing and the elementary curriculum and I am also very capable of making sure students meet or exceed the standards set for them in all areas.

I feel handwriting is very important for students to perform correctly. I have always taught my students the proper techniques of handwriting over the years even though it has not always been one of the curriculum standards. I enjoy Spelling and teaching it to students, as well.

I am excited to work with students and help them form a love of learning and bettering themselves! I want all students to enjoy learning and to take pride in their accomplishments.
