"I graduated with honors from Yuba College in 2016. I finished with two degrees, and was a commencement speaker. One degree is in English and the other in Arts & Humanities. I have over nine years of experience tutoring English, and one semester tutoring each of the following: speech (group communications), psychology, and humanities. I completed five semesters of writing for the college newspaper, The Prospector. I was content editor of the paper for one semester and print editor for one semester. I have edited two books for two different young authors, one of which has been published. I have also done freelance writing and have had articles in two editions of the local magazine, Yuba-Sutter Community Magazine.

I love working with others, helping them to strengthen their reading and writing, and helping them build confidence in themselves by not only assisting them in improving their work, but showing them how to research and find methods and solutions on their own. I've worked with many ESL (English as a Second Language) students and do not mind working harder to break language barriers. I have experience tutoring one-on-one or in groups as large as half a dozen students.

I like staying busy and always having something to do. I am motivated, goal oriented, and determined. I don't give up easily and if a challenge presents itself, I love finding ways to adapt to the circumstances and overcome it." less...
