"I have a PhD in counseling psychology which means that I am trained to teach, research, and counsel. I have done all three and enjoy them all. I am currently teaching online courses and enjoy helping students meet their academic goals. I have strong writing skills and know the APA Publication Manual well. I also have the ability to be creative and am very organized. I enjoy the challenge of simplifying a complicated idea and sharing it with others. I have over 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health. I specialize in the topics of substance use and psychological theories. I have personally used many of the counseling techniques taught in school in my own work with children, adolescents, and adults in therapy.
