"In 2019, I graduated with a major in Mathematics and minor in Education. I have been tutoring middle school, high school, and college students in various math subjects since 2015. Over the years, I have taught both privately and in classroom settings. Until last year, I worked as a special education (RSP) math teacher at a middle school. One of my favorite parts of teaching is making a difference in student's learning outcomes through improved grades and test scores. It is very rewarding to observe students gain confidence in their math learning abilities. I believe it is important to encourage students to improve their achievement and cultivate a passion for learning.
I think that, with enough motivation and dedication, everyone has the ability to understand and do math. I aim to identify my students' learning preferences and strengths; and leverage these. I provide students the tools to do math confidently. I check for understanding throughout sessions and invite students to notice patterns, make connections to other concepts, make predictions.
I am adaptable and have experience working with students ranging from 7th grade up to adult learners; whom have been advanced, gifted, or required specialized instruction. I seek to continuously refine my tutoring practice by learning from my students and I welcome each student's unique needs.
I can help you with SAT math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Common Core Math, Integrated Math 1-3, CSET (California Subject Examination for Teachers) for single subject and multiple subjects." less...
