"I bring over 30 years of teaching Chemistry from the Fundamentals of Chemistry, to Organic and Polymer Chemistry, 3 years of industrial experience which led to a patent #4,663,388 in Cellulosic Polymer Chemistry, and other part-time/temporary industrial experience within my academic career. I started teaching at Community Colleges in Florida, then moved to Micronesia, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and then North Carolina all for various Chemistry teaching opportunities.
I also have international teaching experience, including Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan for 4 years in 2015, and taught my first Polymer courses there for senior level students. Including Polymer Chemistry 1 and 2 with a lab associated with Polymer Chemistry 2. One academic year at the American University in Iraq - Sulaimani, and then two years teaching at the University of Texas.
I have studied the bible as a subject since my attending a Christian College, and then attending theological seminary where I completed my MDiv degree. I have also had many years of studying the bible for myself, for decades.
I have a Masters of Divinity degree which included Religion courses, and I have enjoyed studying it on the side.
I enjoy helping students very much, and treat them, as people who want to learn if they ask for my help, and will guide them through the process of learning Chemistry, to learn the vocabulary, and then to think conceptually and critically, as a Chemist, to understand how it is relevant to their lives.
I have also taught Elementary Algebra, and College Algebra, and the math with typical High School Science courses." less...
