I am Kayla A. and have been teaching for a total of 3 years. I am an Alumni from the University of North Texas (Denton) #GOMEANGREEN. I have been a certified teacher since 2022; These certifications include: Early Childhood (EC-6th), English as a Second Language (ESL Supplemental) and Special Education (Early Childhood- 12th).
Currently, I teach Second Grade in an Arlington Elementary school. It has been an honor to be named the 2023 to 2024 Teacher of the Year at my school campus. I have 6 years of tutoring experience and am able to assess students to develop intentional, fun, lessons and activities to meet them where they are. I strongly believe that in order to TEACH and HELP students, you have to build a strong relationship with who they are as well as who they plan to be within a world that is unkind at times.
I incorporate FUN into daily lessons and ALWAYS ensure to provide multiple opportunities for students to GROW. I allow students to take the educational risks and challenge themselves while ensuring that they have the tools they need to reach their greatest potential!
