"My strength in tutoring comes from a love of learning and a patient nature. I am an experienced tutor who has been working with students of all backgrounds and learning styles for over a year. I am majoring in history and will graduate in May. While I recognize that formal education is important to establish credentials, I believe that professional development and learning extend far beyond the classroom. It is for this reason that I continually pursue excellence through learning new teaching methods as well as exploring various areas of history through reading. I enjoy tutoring for the simple pleasure of watching students' faces as they "get it." This makes tutoring the best job I've ever had.
I specialize in tutoring history and economics. My goal is that my students not only understand the material well enough to succeed in the class, but to be able to use that knowledge outside of school as well. I hold myself to a high standard. For this reason, I ask for feedback from my students and use any strategy to ensure my students understand the material.
I value my time and I understand that my students do as well. Therefore, I have a twelve hour cancellation policy. I do, however, offer make up sessions.
