My name is Whitney N. and I am a certified teacher in Texas in grades EC-8 with experience spanning 1st, 3rd, 4th and even 7th grade. I have taught all subjects as a self-contained teacher in 1st, 3rd and 4th grade and ELAR in 7th grade. I have been teaching for 17 years! I currently teach 1st grade, all subjects, where a large part of my experience has been. I hold a valid Texas teaching certificate EC-8 with both ESL and GT additions. I believe every child has the potential to succeed if they are given the chance. I still teach full time and work to meet a diverse amount of student needs in my own classroom daily. I am hoping to take my expertise to the next level by offering tutoring online to reach even more learners who need it!

Am I a good fit for your child? Of course! The elementary age is my specialty and I create, and use differentiated lessons daily to meet the needs of each of my individual students. I have a passion for reading and writing; this runs deep for me. I am accepting students who need specialized and individualized instruction in all reading and language arts topics EC-5th grade. I can design and implement lessons that engage, excite, and meet your child at their individual level. I am happy to work with both kiddos who are struggling as well as those who want a push! I am not a one size fits all teacher. I do not believe that the way that one student learns is the way that all students learn. I will work to get to know your personal child and creatively reach them where their need is so they can feel the success they deserve! I am also more than happy to tutor any 1st grade student in math!
