"I'm a recent graduate from Vanderbilt University. I dual majored in Human Organizational Development and Political Science as well as minored in Music Literature. I've been tutoring since my freshman year of college for practical learning of the HOD degree which is offered from Vanderbilt's school of education. I've tutored elementary and high school students from charter, magnet, and private schools with much success. Spring Break of my sophomore year of college, I traveled to Oklahoma and tutored at an elementary school on a Cherokee Reservation which provided a unique and enlightening experience.
I am very proud to have earned a degree from Vanderbilt because school did not always come easy to me which is one of my greatest gifts as a tutor. As a result of my struggles growing up, I'm able to empathize with any student who needs extra assistance learning a concept and grasping a subject. From my own personal and tutoring experience, I've learned different study techniques and can help students discover their best learning method. I'm passionate about teaching others and pride myself on being able to make any subject come alive so that it's relatable and exciting.
I've been certified for several history subjects on this site: American, European, Government, Politics, and World History. As well as English Literature and Geography. I have a vast and diverse knowledge of many subtopics of history, my college course load primarily included humanities courses ranging from history, English literature, music, and religion. I have had success tutoring these subjects not only in some of Nashville's secondary schools but my own fellow classmates in college.
I love sharing knowledge, helping students learn, and can't wait to begin!" less...
