"I am a former special education teacher and administrator in elementary and middle schools. My passion is helping children and adults with special needs, those who are significantly behind academically and people who need extra motivation and creativity to grow academically.

I specialize in remediation of ELA (phonics, grammar, spelling, writing, fluency, comprehension) and handwriting.

I specifically work with the Wilson Reading System (a program based in Orton Gillingham principles), Read Naturally, Handwriting without Tears and Size Matters Handwriting.

I am also certified to conduct academic testing using the Woodcock Johnson IV and the Young Children’s Achievement Test 2. These assessments help determine current academic levels in reading, writing and math, so I can tutor more effectively.
