"Teaching has become my passion on a winding road that has given me experience in a variety of careers, professional settings and real-world scenarios. I keep these experiences and situations in mind during all of my teaching and instruction.

During college and after graduation, I held jobs and experienced internships at the local, state and federal levels of government, giving me valuable knowledge of how the world works, focusing on efficient methods for learning and transferable skills in our ever-changing society.

My teaching career began when I taught Spanish in the Howard County public school system in Maryland. I learned to greatly emphasize diversified learning, accommodating different learners with differing abilities and cultures, and use interactive technologies to teach my students through games and fun activities. Since then, I have remained in the same district but have transitioned to Social Studies, learning a passion for teaching students argumentative writing methods, research skills and the lessons of diverse cultures around the world." less...
