"I’m Jillian! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University with degrees in English Literature and Creative Writing. Most recently, I graduated from Columbia University’s Nonfiction Writing Program with a specialization in essay writing. I have been fortunate to have professors who became mentors as both an undergraduate and graduate student. Having access to professors who cared not only that I grasped material but was confident in my abilities made all the difference in the world. These professors encouraged me to apply for fellowships, internships, and grants–many of which I was awarded. Their belief in my abilities led me to opportunities for essential growth and skill development. I try to bring this dedication, patience, and genuine enthusiasm to my tutoring–to fulfill a similar role for my students.

I have a year of tutoring experience in writing. I worked directly with undergraduate students who needed additional assistance, but also collaborated with fellow tutors to cater to more specific needs. In this role I also read students’ source materials for assignments and made comprehensive outlines to break down the reading. I have four years of experience working with high school students with disabilities and encourage any and every student to reach out to me.
