Many years ago, I graduated from MIT with a degree in Electrical Engineering. For fifteen years I worked in the field of digital image processing and I participated in the development of scanners, digital printers, multifunction devices and network services for a major corporation. Subsequently, I spent nine years in senior management roles at this same corporation, followed by three years as the President, CEO, Director and Officer of a much smaller, private equity funded corporation specializing in transaction printing.

In 2004, I took time off from my business career to follow a personal agenda which included 24/7 care of my terminally ill husband. It was during this period of time that I became very interested in the needs of those with disabilities and illnesses. As a consequence, I went to law school to study those subjects that are relevant to a temporarily or permanently disabled or ill person as well as to study Intellectual Property to aid in the invention of relevant product solutions for the disabled or ill person.

I am currently working as a contract attorney in Richmond while I embark upon my next journey of setting up a solo law practice in Williamsburg. I am admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the Commonwealth of Virginia and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a licensed Patent Attorney.
