"Hola, my name is Michael. I am an experienced and licensed Spanish teacher. I have a BA and an MA in Spanish, and I am licensed to teach secondary school in Iowa and Washington state. I have lived and worked in Spanish speaking countries for many years, beginning with my work in the Peace Corps in Colombia, South America.

I began my teaching career in the Peace Corps and after my service I returned to the United States to do my master's degree in Spanish. I was a teaching assistant in the Spanish Department at the University of Northern Iowa while doing my teacher's certification. I have taught secondary school Spanish classes for over 20 years both here in the United States and in American Overseas Schools Central and South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
