"I am an experienced government and writing teacher with Master's Degree in Government and Public Administration.

I have 21 years of experience working and consulting in federal, state, and local levels of government, non-profit and private sector. I have served as an elected official and my teaching experience includes grades 8 - college.

I have won awards from governors, mayors and, most importantly, provided testimony before a U.S. Congressional sub-committee on the success of a program I designed for the State of Idaho.

Government is an integral part of our everyday lives and I provide interactive assignments which are interesting, exploring and educational. Many of my students end up "teaching" their parents what they have learned as well as new resources to continue their learning.

I have taught classes in creative and technical writing and can help any age brainstorm, identify a thesis (topic) and how to organize thoughts into a research paper. I have helped many middle and high school as well as college students learn how to write better essays for written exams. I also serve as an essay rater for the California High School Exams.

I am considered an expert for government in program development and analysis and just finished a special assignment with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (federal). My passion to help students learn and understand how important their role is in government today is the reason I like to tutor.
