"I am currently a Special Education teacher in the Guilford County area. I have been teaching for six years working with students that have disabilities. Currently, I am working on my master's degree in special education at Elon University. I work with students in the area of mathematics and reading instruction. Even though my specialty is working with students that have disabilities, I also work with students that are not identified with a disability. I will be teaching again this school year and I have enjoyed teaching as my career. My tutoring includes hands on manipulatives, if applicable, to help the student understand a concept that is causing them to have problems. I also like to break down items into step by step explicit instruction to help the student achieve. Since I am a teacher, I have access to the curriculum guides so that I can show your student what will be presented to them by their teachers in the future (this is called Front Loading).
