"I hold a love of languages and culture in high regard. Over the last five years I have made travelling and seeing the world a top priority - something I consider my most formative and enjoyable experiences. I believe that to truly understand a culture one must speak a common language. Today that is becoming increasingly vital in our globalized world.
Although not experienced in teaching Spanish or German, I have extensive experience working and living in these communities. By being outgoing and ignoring my preoccupations I have excelled in language learning and would love to assist others do the same. I am very open-minded and approachable.
In 2012 I lived in Córdoba, Argentina, thus beginning my intimate exposure to Spanish. Over the summer of 2013 I worked for Proteus Inc., a nonprofit that assists migrant workers attain affordable healthcare. From that I learned a lot about the peculiarities of our world. Since then I have travelled extensively throughout Latin America and Spain, gaining firsthand experience with various dialects and accents.
In addition to my travels in Latin America, I lived in Freiburg, Germany in 2013 and 2014. My personal connection to the language through my family assisted my acquisition of German and provided a smooth transition the culture.
