"I am currently a licensed 1st grade teacher with a passion for helping ALL students succeed. I have been teaching 1st grade and tutoring for 6 years. My favorite part of teaching and tutoring is developing meaningful, supportive relationships with my students, and empowering students with the confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond. I have a Masters degree in Reading and Literacy Education, and I am a certified Reading Specialist. I am certified to teach K-6 and I tutor all subjects at the preK-4th grade level.

As a tutor, I teach all lower-elementary subjects, specializing in literacy and mathematics.

As a 1st grade teacher, I have ample experience teaching lower-elementary mathematics. Some topics I teach include basic counting and numbers, addition, subtraction, geometry, measurement, and more!

Phonics is the foundation to reading; reading is the foundation to academic success. In my classroom, I teach a wide variety of research-backed phonics curricula that I will incorporate into my tutoring.

With a comprehensive understanding of phonics instruction and child development, I leverage children's phonics knowledge into their spelling instruction.
