"I recently retired following a 35+ year career in wholesale distribution of electrical and HVAC control products. I began college with aspirations to become a high school history teacher. Life happens which caused me to abandon that plan and shift to "Plan B". I began working in the warehouse and making deliveries, eventually working my way up the ladder into sales and management positions. This was accomplished without having obtained a college degree.

I returned to college 11 years ago in order to complete that one bit of unfinished business. I earned as Associates Degree and then my Bachelors. It was then I decided to continue and complete my studies by earning an MBA. My undergraduate degrees are in Marketing; my MBA is in Leadership Studies.

I have life experience developing my own career and believe I have valuable lessons to pass on to the next generations of business leaders. Plans do not always work out the way they are envisioned and through experience I can help students develop skills necessary to adapt and thrive.

I have 35+ years of experience in practically all aspects of business from warehouse work to managing an account base of $10 million in annual sales. Stope along the way included customer service, purchasing, management, corporate training and product management. Additionally I have the academic credentials to support real world experience. I have participated in independent consulting opportunities where my background in distribution and market analysis has been deemed useful for strategic decision making.

My unique blend of experience and education allows me to offer help in a wide variety of ways. I came out of high school wanting to be a teacher and "retired" into a life as a substitute teacher and Junior Achievement volunteer. I earned my degrees online so understand the importance of developing good study habits. Life has dealt me many curves and I have successfully negotiated those obstacles.
