"I'm Logan! I graduated summa cum laude from College of St. Benedict and St. John's University in Collegeville, MN with a double major in Ancient Mediterranean Studies and Classical Languages and a minor in History. Currently, I am a PhD student in the Classics Department of the University of Cincinnati with the hopes of becoming an educator in Ancient Mediterranean History and Classical Languages.

My philosophy with education (especially higher education) is that it is meant to not only prepare the student for a future in their desired career, but even more importantly it is meant to educate them to be more well-rounded individuals with the skills to continue their education in whatever way(s) they want. That is why I chose to study Ancient history and the classical languages, because they give students the skills of problem-solving, intercultural diplomacy, linguistic mastery, intellectual self expression and–especially important in todays world–epistemological skills.

I first began tutoring back when I was in high school through our schools program to offer tutors to elementary and middle school students. I have been tutoring Latin, Ancient Greek, and the Classics for 3 years now at a college level, but I am very much willing and able to teach any age. In addition to being a tutor, I was a teaching assistant for Greek and Latin at my undergraduate university where I both aided with processed during the classes and created several lesson plans/taught them to the classes. Now, as a Graduate Student Teaching Assistant I have spread my teaching skills to beyond Greek and Latin but also to academic writing skills.
