Welcome to my tutoring page!

My name is Miyah and I am a first year medical student at a MD program located in Los Angeles.

I have over four years of tutoring experience (1 year working with K-12 (2017-2018); 4+ year working with college and graduate-level students (2020-) in topics such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and algebra. Additionally, I graduated from my Master's program with a 3.8+ GPA.

I enjoy tutoring because I can find new ways to intellectually stimulate a variety of students with different backgrounds. I push others to see and be more than "potential", to challenge themselves, and to see the good in a subject/ class they may find challenging or boring. I also love seeing my students excel and do better than where they started.

I have hundreds of hours of studying MCAT material (Biochem, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Psychology, Sociology). Students have gone from a C average at/after midterms to a high B or A after working with me.

For tutoring sessions, I quiz students at the beginning and end of our sessions, provide visuals throughout depending on learning style, and will provide supplemental sources depending on the student's needs.
