I decided to further my studies in ASL by enrolling in a Sign Language Interpreter Program where I was also a supplemental instructor to Deaf instructors. I taught ASL to students in grades 4-8. I often subbed in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) classrooms. I was also a volunteer interpreter, former webmaster, and supporting member of the National Alliance of Black Interpreters (N.A.O.B.I) in Detroit.
I was a Special Education teacher for two years. I am now a Deaf & Hard of Hearing Itinerant teacher for preschool -12th grade students. I am a graduate of The University of Arizona's Master of Arts in Special Education with an emphasis on teaching the Deaf & Hard of Hearing program." less...
