"Hello, my name is Janelle! This past July, I completed a master’s degree in French Studies at NYU. In May 2022, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in political science and minors in French and Survey Research and Data Analytics. I have over six years of experience teaching French, English, political science, and as a college admissions advisor.

This October, I retook the LSAT and scored in the 96th percentile. Throughout my experience, I have completed nearly all existing PrepTests and have a mastery of both the Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections. I support students in better understanding key question types, logical flaws, and wrong answer patterns on the LR section as well as improving understanding and accuracy on the Reading Comprehension section.

For college admissions counseling, I support high school students at all phases of the college application cycle – developing balanced college lists (including reach, target, and safety schools), crafting and editing compelling essays, preparing for interviews, and tailoring resumes. I served as the leader of a non-profit college advising organization and trained 50+ Penn students as college advisors for high school students. I also worked 1:1 with high school advisees for years.

As an English teacher, I taught in a French high school for a year and have also worked with individuals 1:1 to develop their professional English skills. My French teaching background includes a position at the Lycée Français of New York, where I facilitated numerous lessons in French to high school students.

I also have a background in political science experience, with a B.A. with Distinction in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a master's in French Studies from NYU.
