"Hi I'm Ryan and I have always held a strong passion and desire towards both teaching and mentoring peers and students of all ages and academic levels. I originally grew up in Los Angeles, CA and completed my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and Biology at UC San Diego, where I first developed my intrigue towards neurosciences and built a solid foundation in biological and chemical sciences as well as cognitive psychology. Most recently, I completed medical school at Loyola University Chicago – Stritch School of Medicine, where I further gained extensive didactic education and clinical training in biomedicine through pharmacology, anatomy, microbiology, physiology, pathology, and I am currently in the application cycle to train as a Neurology resident.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching adult and K-12 students in core STEM subjects such as biology, chemistry, and various levels of math—ranging from Algebra and Geometry to Calculus and Physics—at both AP high school and university levels. This breadth of experience has given me valuable insight into the unique learning needs at each academic stage. My medical education has also provided extensive experience helping students learn and holistically understand wide range of medical subjects from Physiology, Immunology, Anatomy, Microbiology, and Pharmacology. I’ve supported nursing, pharmacy, EMT, PA, CRNA, veterinarian, and medical students in their coursework and exams in order to help them excel in their respective graduate-degree programs.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with students across a wide spectrum—from building fundamental skills to preparing for advanced exams. I focus not only on mastering material but also on developing problem-solving strategies that students can carry forward into future learning. Whether you need help clarifying challenging course material, preparing for professional exams, or simply working through tough concepts, I’m here to support you every step of the way." less...
