"Hi there! My name is Mark and I am thrilled to share with you my experience and tutoring methods. As an Internal Medicine Resident, I have experience and knowledge in teaching a wide array of subjects including physiology, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, as well as cardiology, nephrology, and pulmonology. I have experience specifically in tutoring pre-medical and medical students for the MCAT, USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2, NBMEs, and in-house medical school exams.

In terms of my educational background, I completed my undergraduate degree with a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I have earned scores on the USMLE Step 1 with a 244 and on the USMLE Step 2 with a 257, which allowed me to match into my top-choice residency program. I recently graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2023.

I have a strong interest for the field of cardiology and have helped many students in understanding cardiac pathophysiology including coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease, pericardial disease, peripheral artery disease, aortic disease, and much more! Additionally, I have helped many students in their understanding of EKGs, echocardiograms, cardiac pharmacology, and diagnostic/therapeutic cardiac interventions.

My approach to tutoring is to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and engage in discussions. I believe that learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience, and I am dedicated to making sure that my students have the skills and knowledge necessary to achieve their academic and personal goals.

Thank you for considering me as a potential tutor. I am excited to work with you and help you achieve success in your academic pursuits." less...
