"As an educator of 10 years, I continue to learn the most effective instructional strategies. I use several strategies including technology, music, and rhythms to improve learning. A foundation in knowing how to learn is the most important skill to develop a successful career in school and beyond. I try to assist students develop skills to keep them engaged and problem solve their classes.
I graduated from Marietta college with a B.A. in early childhood education and from Nova Southeastern University with a M.S. in Brain-Based Teaching and Learning. I taught kindergarten for 7 years where I was awarded the district teacher of the year in Independence, Ks. and 1 year of kindergarten and year of 1st grade in Stockton, Ks. I also taught classes to child care providers on developing effective teaching practices.
I have developed strategies to teach all ages and hope to have the opportunity to work with you.
As a kindergarten teacher, I taught the fundamentals of reading. I have also developed many skills to improve readers of all ages.
