"With a robust educational background in Mathematics and Economics from George Mason University and a Masters degree from Duke University in Economics (math focused), my academic journey has been thoroughly steeped in quantitative and analytical disciplines. These experiences not only shaped my professional path in equity research and data science but also ignited my passion for sharing knowledge in a structured, comprehensible manner.
During my graduate studies at Duke, I served as a teaching assistant, which involved conducting weekly sessions, grading assignments, and providing one-on-one assistance to students grappling with complex economic and mathematical theories and applications. This role was pivotal in honing my ability to communicate complex information effectively and adapting my teaching methods to fit diverse learning styles.
Additionally, my early tutoring experience during college and subsequent role with Varsity Tutors allowed me to work with students across a variety of subjects, from introductory mathematics to advanced mathematics, physics, and statistics. My tutoring style is highly adaptive, focusing on understanding each student's unique challenges and learning pace. I’ve developed engaging, interactive lessons that foster a deep understanding of the material, enhancing both classroom performance and practical application skills.
I am eager to bring this blend of rigorous academic training and hands-on problem-solving to more students, helping them achieve their own success in subjects ranging from basic algebra to advanced finance, statistics, calculus, mechanics, real analysis, and differential equations. My goal is to make learning both enjoyable and impactful, preparing students not just for exams but for real-world applications of their knowledge." less...
