For the past few years I've been working as the Senior Researcher at an art gallery in New York and I love learning about new works of art. I'm excited to now return to tutoring! I discovered my passion for teaching at the French School of Chicago as part of their after-school team helping elementary students with homework. It began as a part-time job while I finished college, but I quickly realized how much I loved working with students. I stayed for 8 years, taking on new responsibilities within the school. I now work with students on essay writing, proofreading, and French!
Through my graduate program I not only grew my knowledge of art history but, also, my abilities in research and writing. I enjoy helping students write and edit their own work (whether in art history or other subjects) and I'm always happy to share the study tips, writing techniques, and research methods that I learned along the way.
My love for languages began in middle school when I learned to count to 10 in French. But for years I was scared to conjugate a verb incorrectly or mispronounce a word—until a teacher showed me that learning a language could be fun! I studied French for 8 years and I love to build confidence in language learners while commiserating over all the silent letters!
